Frederick Area Bridal Network Awards Membership 11/2007

The Executive Board of the Frederick Area Bridal Network (FABNet) awarded a full membership to Kim Schruefer of Edible Arrangements recently. Ms. Schruefer showed an interest in the organization earlier in the year but the terrible fire which closed her business at the Opposumtown Pike location interrupted her plans to join. Now that Edible Arrangements has relocated and re-opened on Yellow Springs Road, the Board decided to offer a membership for overcoming their ordeal. FABNet is a non-profit organization founded to educate brides and professionals about the wedding industry holding monthly networking meetings every fourth Wednesday of the month; locations vary, check their website at www.fabnet.info.

The entire FABNet Board was present to award Ms. Schruefer with her membership. Ms. Schruefer graciously accepted the membership award. Edible Arrangements specializes in creating delicious fruit designs in a variety of styles and sizes for any occasion. All ingredients are natural, no preservatives or sweeteners are used. They are located in Frederick at 2060 Yellow Springs Road, Suite 103 open Mon-Fri 8am to 6pm and Sat 8am to 3pm.

Frederick Area Bridal Network's 1st Annual Bridal Show is a Success! 10/28/2007

The first Annual Bridal Showcase sponsored by the Frederick Area Bridal Network was held on Oct 28th at Holly Hills Country Club. All vendors participating were members of the Network.  The Grand Prize for the show was a 7-day, all inclusive, Jamaican Honeymoon valued at $2,500.00 donated by Travel by C.  Those in the photo are Wendy Farenwald of Balloon Affairs of Frederick LLC (secretary), Margaret Kostolansky of Holly Hills Country Club (treasurer), WINNER Fawn Bailey of Mt Airy, Cliff Choy of Travel by C, Kitty Gialenella of A Personal Touch Photography (president), Matt Aspey of To The 9's Event Planning (VP membership) and Terry Warfield of TLC Bridal Boutique, Inc. (VP administration).  Proceeds from the entree fee were donated to Hospice of Frederick County.  The Showcase was a huge success!
 
The Frederick Area Bridal Network strives to unite wedding professionals to meet, learn and work with the various issues of mutual importance to the industry and themselves.  Also their mission is to educate the public on the wedding industry and to provide forums such as their Showcase to inform the public about the industry and become better consumers.  The Network is open to new members as they meet the fourth Wednesday of each month.  The next meeting will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn on Nov. 28th starting at 6 pm for social time and 7 pm for business meeting.  For more information about FABNet check their website at www.FABNet.info.
